Frank McGaha

Founder

Frank is a survival evasion resistance and escape (SERE) trained former naval helicopter crew chief and gunner who severed 6 years in the U.S. Navy and completed three tours to the Middle East. After his military service he began his federal law enforcement profession with the national park service as a remote and backcountry law enforcement officer. During his time with the park service Frank preformed multiple law enforcement functions and was a lead rescue responder for search and recues operations. Frank transferred to the Nation’s Capital to work for another federal law enforcement agency right in the heart of Washington D.C. Frank to this day is one of the few people in the world to ever graduate the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) as an Honor Graduate. During his career in law enforcement, he quickly promoted through the ranks and was selected and assigned prestigious positions such as the Officer in Charge of a special weapons unit. Even more impressive he was the lead protection officer for two separate presidentially appointed agency directors, one under President Obama and one under President Trump. In order to protect these presidentially appointed and congressionally confirm directors, Frank holds the highly coveted FLETC certification in Protective Service Operations (PSO). He has authored federal policy surrounding police operating procedures and has trained elite units such as Capital Police Swat Team and SEC Special Agents. Frank has also had the privilege to complete joint work with agencies such FBI in terrorist location and identification and the Secret Service on counterfeiting operations.

Frank’s commitment to public safety led him to acquire numerous certifications in multiple disciplines. Frank is a FLETC certified Firearms and Tactical Medicine (TacMed) Instructor where he earned the rare certification as a Designated Weapons Expert (DWE). Frank also holds a Range Safety Officer certification from the National Security Agency (NSA) as well as multiple state police firearm and legal instructor certifications in addition to being NRA instructor. Frank has extensive emergency medical training as a Nationally Certified EMT, Professional Rescue Instructor, American Red Cross Instructor, Remote Wilderness Medicine Instructor and more.

Frank founded Armogan Consulting & Training in order to share his knowledge and expertise to law enforcement and civilians alike. Armogan is a 19th century naval term that means “It’s a perfect day to start a new journey”. That’s exactly how he feels when it comes to beginning or continuing your personal and public safety training. Frank began training and utilizing virtual training systems early in his career and realized how effective they were with high-quality and cost-effective training. Frank became a VirTra instructor realizing he could take all his experiences and training and infuse them with new technology, revolutionizing the personal and public safety training industry. Frank feels, "ever member of society has a right to access and obtain safety training so they can protect themselves and loved ones." With this in mind, Frank has connected with some of the most elite professionals in the world to develop online and in person training programs that every member of society can afford and complete. Frank rounded this out by developing his flagship product, Armogan Shield Academy Membership or A-SAM for short. This membership has been developed to be full encompassing for personal and public safety. With limitless features such as monthly training access to instructors from all over and a private community where you can ask questions and chat with other members or instructors 24/7. Frank is most proud of this membership due to the training burdens it alleviates from people all over the world.
